Position: English Teacher
   
Background: Degrees in Elementary Education & English  with secondary certification.
   
Teaching Philosophy:
I teach because I love to be with young people and I believe education is more than reading, writing and arithmetic.  I know in my heart the success or failure of a student is my success or failure as a teacher.  I want to give my students the encouragement and ability to think for themselves, make educated decisions, and finally to have a view of their own place in the global society through literature. 
 
 
   
Additional Info: I have been teaching 29 years.  I like to travel and have been half way around the world with my two boys and husband.  I also have a pilot's license for a Hot Air Balloon and flown in competitions up and down the East Coast and Canada.  I am a cancer survivor and try to give support to all those I know and meet who are suffering either their own illness or that of a loved one.  To me, life is to be experienced and celebrated!
