After graduating with a BA in History Education from the University of Delaware in 1990, I began my career in Cherry Hill Public Schools teaching high school and, eventually, middle school US history and world cultures. For the next eight years, I thoroughly enjoyed the chance to practice and hone the art of teaching. But most of all, I loved having the opportunity to work with my students as their teacher, coach, and advisor.
Once I entered the wonderful world of "momhood," I was able to spend twelve years at home with my three beautiful children. It was an incredible experience of exploration and expanding horizons for all of us.
Now that my three "babies" are teenagers, I am thrilled to rejoin the educational journey of the next generation as a member of the BCIT family. In the words of David McCullough, "I would pay to do what I do if I had to." |
