    FCCLA
     
     FCCLA's (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) mission is to promote growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Science education. We focus on the multiple roles of family members, wage earners and community leaders, members develop skills through life through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation. 
     
     FCCLA is the only in-school organization with family as its central focus. FCCLA is a career and technical student organization that functions as an integral part of the Family and Consumer Sciences education curriculum and operates within the school system, and it provides opportunities for active student participation at local, state, and national levels. 
     
     
    Our BCIT chapter consists of Fashion Design & Merchandising, Early Childhood Education and Culinary Arts & Hospitality. We promote the idea that our chapter is a family. Every year, we participate in a set number of community service projects.
