Course Remediation in Math & Science

Spring 2022

BCIT is offering credit remediation courses in Algebra 1 (Mr. Hrabal), Geometry (Mr. Leighton), and Chemistry (Ms. Anenberg) for students who already completed the required seat time but did not achieve a passing course grade in Spring 2020, Fall 2020, or Spring 2021.  This course is only for students who earned a score below a 60% in the course.  Students may only register for one remediation course for Spring 2022.

ATTENDANCE POLICY:  Classes will occur in-person led by a BCIT math or science teacher.  Students are expected to attend all classes in-person and actively participate (only students on the quarantine list may attend virtually).  Students are permitted a maximum of 2 absences throughout the course before they are dropped from the course for attendance.  Both excused absences and unexcused absences will count toward the 2 absence maximum, so please plan appointments accordingly.

Classes will be held from 3:00-5:00 pm with transportation provided by the late bus at 5:15 pm.  Classes will be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays 3/1-5/3, excluding days with school closures.  Classes will meet on: 3/1, 3/3, 3/8, 3/10, 3/15, 3/17, 3/22, 3/24, 3/29, 3/31, 4/5, 4/7, 4/12, 4/26, 4/28, and 5/3.

Space is limited and sections will be closed as they are filled.  

Spring registration closed on February 15th.
