Standards for promotion, graduation, retention, and termination are reviewed periodically, and the Guidance Department is involved continuously to make sure each student will graduate upon the completion of the following program:
For graduation, a student entering 9th grade and spending four years enrolled in the school, must successfully earn a minimum requirement of credits in order to graduate. The minimum required academic subjects are indicated below. In addition, a student must successfully earn the minimum credits per year for a Career Major program for each year of enrollment unless additional academic courses are prescribed. A student will earn 5 credits in a Career Major program for each 7200 minutes of instruction.

Students are required, as a part of the regular high school program, to carry a minimum of 40 credits each year. District requirements meet or exceed the state high school graduation requirements for a state endorsed high school diploma.
All basic skills standards must be met by each graduating student. Students must demonstrate skills competencies as measured by the New Jersey High School Proficiency Assessment for graduation for 2015.* *State Requirement
State and local graduation requirements apply to special education students unless exempted in their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
As with the state requirements, the IEP must specifically address the local district requirements.
Fulfillment of the IEP requirements will qualify the special education student for a state endorsed dip
Students must meet district standards for school attendance.
Students must successfully attain the basic curriculum proficiencies in order to acquire course credits.
A student enrolled beyond four years in high school must take an additional year of physical education
for each year of enrollment.
Students meeting the above requirements will be issued a state endorsed diploma.

Language Arts Literacy
including Algebra I or the content equivalent; including Geometry or the content equivalent; including a third year of mathematics that builds on the concepts and skills of Algebra and Geometry
including at least five credits in laboratory biology/life science or the content equivalent
including 2 courses in US History
Health and Physical Education
Health and PE is to be taken each year of enrollment
Visual and Performing Arts
minimum credits per year for a Career Major program for each year of enrollment unless additional academic courses are prescribed
Students are required, as part of the regular high school program, to carry a minimum of forty credits each year. District requirements meet or exceed the State high school graduation requirement for a State endorsed high school diploma
Students must meet district standards for school attendance
Students must also demonstrate basic skills competencies as measured by the New Jersey High School Assessments for graduation.
