• Course Remediation in Math & Science

    BCIT Westampton

    Spring 2022

     

    BCIT is offering credit remediation courses in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, STEM, Biology, and Chemistry for students who already completed the required seat time but did not achieve a passing course grade in Spring 2020, Fall 2020, or Spring 2021.  This course is only for students who earned a score below a 60% in the course.  Students may only register for one remediation course for Spring 2022.

    ATTENDANCE POLICY:  Classes will occur in-person led by a BCIT math or science teacher.  Students are expected to attend all classes in-person and actively participate (only students on the quarantine list may attend virtually).  Students are permitted a maximum of 2 absences throughout the course before they are dropped from the course for attendance.  Both excused absences and unexcused absences will count toward the 2 absence maximum, so please plan appointments accordingly.

    All classes will be held from 3:20-5:20 pm with transportation provided by the late bus at 5:30 pm. 

    Chemistry (Ms. McGuinness) classes will be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays 3/1-5/3, excluding days with school closures.  Classes will meet on: 3/1, 3/3, 3/8, 3/15, 3/17, 3/22, 3/24, 3/29, 3/31, 4/5, 4/7, 4/12, 4/26, 4/28, 5/10, and 5/12.

    STEM (Mr. Holbrook) classes will be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays 3/1-5/3, excluding days with school closures.  Classes will meet on: 3/1, 3/3, 3/8, 3/10, 3/15, 3/17, 3/22, 3/29, 3/31, 4/5, 4/7, 4/12, 4/26, 4/28, 5/3, and 5/5.

    Biology (Ms. Cooper) classes will be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays 3/1-5/3, excluding days with school closures.  Classes will meet on: 3/1, 3/3, 3/8, 3/10, 3/15, 3/17, 3/22, 3/24, 3/29, 4/5, 4/7, 4/12, 4/26, 4/28,  5/3, and 5/5.

    Algebra 1 (Ms. Georgette) classes will be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays 3/8-5/10, excluding days with school closures.  Classes will meet on: 3/8, 3/10, 3/15, 3/17, 3/22, 3/24, 3/29, 3/31, 4/5, 4/7, 4/12, 4/26, 4/28,  5/3, 5/5, 5/10.

    Geometry (Mr. Conyer):  Student who registered should check their email for an update.

    Algebra 2 (Ms. Porter) classes will be held on the following dates:  Tuesday 3/1, Thursday 3/3, Tuesday 3/8, Thursday 3/10, Tuesday 3/15, Wednesday 3/16, Tuesday 3/22, Wednesday 3/23, Tuesday 3/29, Wednesday 3/30,  Tuesday 4/5, Wednesday 4/6, Tuesday 4/12, Wednesday 4/13, Tuesday 4/26, Wednesday 4/27.

    Space is limited and sections will be closed as they are filled.    

     

    Spring registration closed on February 15th.
