Welcome to BCIT School to Work

  • Our students work for it.

The School to Work program allows eleventh and twelfth grade students to start on-the-job training while still in high school.  The students are employed in their career major field of study while supervised by a work site mentor.  A training plan is put into place and progress in monitored by me, the School to Work Coordinator, through evaluations and frequent onsite visits.  This is an opportunity for students to continue learning while earning a paycheck.

While the School to Work program does not guarantee employment after graduation many of our students continue to work and learn at the same company they started with in high school.  They rise through the ranks, taking on more responsibility in our local businesses to become role models in the community.

If you have any questions or are ready to participate as a student or employer, please do not hesitate in contacting me.
