    Scott F. Cooney is a professional actor/director turned teacher who refuses to accept mediocrity when it comes to the actor’s craft.  He has been preparing and coaching students for their college auditions for the past 15 years and is the head acting instructor at BCIT Medford’s Academy of Performing Arts. His professional experience and years of training allows him to bring the most out of his young artists, providing them with the knowledge, experiences, and safe environment to grow as actors and performers. Mr. Cooney is the troupe director of troupe 7891 at BCIT Medford’s International Thespian Society and is an active member of the NJ Thespians State Board.  Mr. Cooney is also the 2015 Foxy Award recipient for Outstanding Direction of a Play for his original immersive theatre adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic Romeo & Juliet.
