    2017-2018 Teacher of the Year

    Position: Teacher of Mathematics
Background: I graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor degree in Secondary Education In Mathematics. I graduated from Wilmington University with a Master degree in Educational Leadership.
Teaching Philosophy: What influenced me to become an educator was other educators throughout my schooling career.  The influence that educators have on the past, present, and future is a unique characteristic unto education.  To be a part of that long tradition is an honor and a privilege that I hold dear and with great humility.  As a teacher, you have daily contact with our collective future.  I have chosen a subject matter that is relatively unpopular with high school students, mathematics.  I work diligently to create a learning environment that inspires students to work collaboratively, and to persevere through even the most challenging topics.
    Additional Info:

I am certified in Mathematics in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  Specific subjects which I have experience teaching are Algebra I, Honors Algebra I, Algebra II, Honors Algebra II, AP Statistics, Statistics, PreCalculus, Calculus, Geometry, and Honors Geometry.  I focus on student engagement through active learning with an emphasis on integrating technology.
