Alexander Sumitro

My name is Alexander Sumitro and I teach the Veterinary Assisting Adult Education course here at BCIT Medford.  In 2010 I graduated from Arcadia University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology.  Since then I have worked in the veterinary field with experience at various general practices and emergency hospitals. I have worked with mostly cats and dogs, but also some pocket pets like guinea pigs and rabbits as well as exotics like snakes, turtles, and parrots. I currently work at Cinnaminson Animal Hospital as a veterinary technician and I have been there since 2012.  This is my first year teaching in a classroom setting, but I have been training veterinary assistants on the job for over a decade.
