The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS Test) is a standardized, multiple choice exam for students applying for nursing school in the USA. It is often used to determine the ability of potential students to adjust to a nursing program. The test is created and administered by Assessment Technologies Institute. The TEAS is an assessment of basic academic knowledge in Reading, Mathematics, English and Language usage and Science. The objectives assessed on the TEAS-V Exam are those which nursing educators deemed most appropriate and relevant to measure entry level skills and abilities of nursing program applicants.
Upon completion, the online system automatically scores the assessments and immediately generates results so students will have a clear picture of skill levels. Students will receive one (1) copy of the test results immediately following testing. TEAS testing is required to determine eligibility into the BCIT, Practical Nursing Program. Registration must be completed prior to the test date. To ensure a seat, future students should register no later than the Friday before the test date.
PLEASE NOTE: THE LPN PRETEST FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
Please note: The administration reserves the right to withdraw any course, which has insufficient registration, and/or to change the schedule and campus location when circumstances warrant a change.
