Licensed Practical Nurse Program
If you are interested in applying for Financial Aid to help with the program cost of $17,650, use BCIT’s school code 042856 when applying for benefits online at studentaid.gov. Any remaining balance will be due based on our Payment Plan due dates.
Program cost does not include ATI software (approx $2200), Certification Fees, Equipment, Supplies, Textbooks, or Uniform (Royal Blue Scrubs-solid without prints, white shoes).
Program Requirements:
Complete the ATI TEAS test with BCIT Adult Ed
Attend a mandatory orientation session.
Complete all program application forms.
Pay required first installment of the program.
Submit all program prerequisites by the given deadline.
Program Prerequisites:
Criminal Background Report
Official High School transcript or US equivalent.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Certification - AHA (BLS/CPR Class)
Proof of personal health insurance.
Individuals should possess strong communication, computer, and interpersonal skills.
Entry into the Program will depend upon satisfactory submission of required documentation!
Program covers a wide range of topics, including:
Health Sciences: Anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, nutrition, and medical terminology.
Social Sciences: Psychology, sociology, and human development.
Humanities: Communication, ethics, and cultural diversity.
Nursing Theory: Fundamental nursing concepts, patient assessment, and care planning.
Lab Skills Training: Hands-on training in essential nursing skills, such as vital signs, medication administration, and wound care.
Clinical Experiences: Provides valuable practical experience in various healthcare settings, allowing students to apply their knowledge and skills under the supervision of qualified professionals.
NCLEX-PN Preparation: Prepares students to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN), the national licensing exam for LPNs.

EVENING SCHEDULE: January 5, 2026 - July 30, 2027 Monday - Thursday 5PM - 9PM (NO CLASS IN AUGUST)
