Decision Day 2025

Westampton, NJ — May 2, 2025 — Yesterday, the Burlington County Institute of Technology (BCIT) proudly celebrated its inaugural Decision Day at both its Medford and Westampton campuses—an inspiring event honoring the post-graduation plans of the Class of 2025, including those pursuing college, careers, and military service.

Decision Day recognized students pursuing a wide variety of next steps, including higher education, the workforce, military service, and other meaningful opportunities. While May 1 marks National College Decision Day across the country, BCIT took the opportunity to expand the celebration—recognizing that students’ futures include more than just college. The goal: to celebrate all of the incredible paths our students are choosing and affirm that every plan forward is something to be proud of.

Students engaged in thoughtful and interactive activities. They wrote thank-you notes to staff members who supported them, shared advice and encouragement for incoming freshmen, and placed their names and destinations on a map showcasing where they’re headed after graduation. Each campus offered raffle prizes, giveaways, and photo opportunities as students proudly wore shirts representing their future schools, employers, or service branches. The energy in the room was filled with pride, encouragement, and mutual celebration.

Assistant Superintendent Mr. Eder Joseph addressed students with a message of encouragement:
“For some of you, the decision you make today may last a lifetime. For others, your path might shift — and that’s perfectly normal. What matters most is that you keep choosing growth and stay open to where life takes you. Every day is a decision day. So wherever you're headed next, keep moving forward.”

As a Career and Technical Education (CTE) high school, BCIT provides students with rigorous academics, hands-on technical training, and extracurricular experiences that reflect a traditional high school—while preparing students for life after graduation. Most importantly, BCIT students leave with confidence, character, and a strong support system behind them.

The first-ever Decision Day at BCIT was not just a celebration—it was a powerful moment of reflection, pride, and purpose, reminding students of how far they’ve come and the exciting paths that lie ahead.
